A travel competition game for groups

Turn your trip into a race.

The Side Quest turns wherever you're staying into a game board. Race other teams through quick, silly, photo-friendly challenges around the neighborhood, and keep a few secret dares up your sleeve.

  • iPhone, iOS 18 or later
  • Invite-only games of 2 to 8 players
  • Rated 17+

Pinch the Skyline

Use forced perspective so a teammate looks like they're holding, pinching, or pocketing a building. Photo: the illusion, clearly working. Feet stay on the sidewalk the whole time.

How it plays

  1. Gather your crew

One player hosts and shares a six-character invite code. Up to eight friends join, split into teams, and set The Arena: the stretch of town you'll play in.

  2. Race the board

Three public Quest Cards are always up for grabs. Tap Start, do the challenge, snap your proof. The first team whose proof checks out takes the points. If a team gives up on a card, the prize grows for everyone else.

  3. Play your private hand

Every player also holds up to three secret cards: small dares and sneaky observations. Send the proof to your teammate, score for your team, or veto a card for a small point cost.

Most points when the game ends wins. Ties go to the team that completed more cards.

Ways to play

  • Solo / free-for-all

Everyone for themselves. Two to eight players, each their own team, racing the same board.

  • Team

Teams of two, up to four teams. Made for friends and family on a trip.

  • Couples Coming soon

A version for couples, with a dial for how playful the cards get. Not available yet.

Made for real trips

  • Invite-only. Games are joined with a code from the host. No matchmaking, no strangers.
  • Private by design. There is no public feed. Photos are shared only with the players who review them and are deleted 7 days after the game ends.
  • No ads, no tracking. We don't sell your data or run third-party analytics.
  • Works in any city. Challenge packs are written to work wherever you land, and hosts can filter out swimming, crowds, alcohol, spending, and more.
